Construction URBAN CAP started


Construction of the new multifunctional URBAN CAP in Bordeaux (FR) has started. The project is designed in collaboration with Habiter Autrement / Mia Hagg and consist out of a center for young entrepreneurs, a school, offices and a public café.

The 7,000m2 project is part of the masterplan ‘Bassins à Flot’ designed by ANMA/ Nicolas Michelin, an extensive redevelopment of the harbour area at the west bank of the Garonne in Bordeaux. The masterplan aims on a phased transformation of the present introvert industrial harbour area into a new lively precinct with an urban mixture of living, working, and recreation.

‘URBAN CAP’ of BARCODE Architects and Habiter Autrement is one of the first buildings to be constructed  in this new development area. The completion is scheduled for early 2016.
